Dear Resident,

In response to complaints about speeding in the area, your Community Policing Team based at Balfron carried out Speed Compliance checks in Blanefield on Wednesday 8th July.

Contrary to the belief of some drivers, Blanefield and all the villages we patrol have 20mph speed limits. Several drivers were warned regarding their speed and 2 drivers were issued Fixed Penalty Notices (FPN).

FPN's come with a £100 fine and 3 penalty points.

With the school holidays now in full swing, more children and vulnerable road users will be out and about, walking, cycling and crossing our roads during the day. 

Please help keep them safe by slowing down, obeying speed limits and staying alert to the changing environment.
